“I’m especially proud of Georgina who has spent less than a year in our industry and shown an amazing aptitude to learn and grow. Georgina is the first lady from Focus 21 to pass the CTS qualification and we hope she will led the trail for others to follow here at AVMI.” Justin Paveley, Projects Director Focus 21 (now part of AVMI)
Georgina Clarke joined Focus 21 in October 2017 as a CAD technician having completed a foundation degree in furniture design and manufacturing at Leeds college of art.
Max Hill started at Focus 21 Visual Communications in July 2017, as a lead install engineer, after leaving college where he had completing his NVQ in electronics. Max moved into his current role as an account manager in February this year Max’s completion of his CTS qualification shows his commitment to providing an excellent service to his clients and increases Focus 21’s sales team members with CTS qualifications to 60%.
“For me passing the CTS qualification was a must. I wanted to be able to show my clients that I understood their needs and to ensure I was best placed to be able to communicate clients’ needs to those who ultimately would be carrying out the installations. The team at Focus 21 fully supported me in my training and having people like Justin around to ask questions and provide motivation is really helpful. I can’t wait to put into practice what I have learnt” Max Hill, Account Manager, Focus 21/AVMI
Adam Rhodes is part of Focus 21/AVMI’s onsite technician team and works as a Peripatetic AV technician. Adam’s role is to support the company in which he has been placed by providing onsite maintenance support of Audio Visual and Video Conferencing equipment and systems. Having the CTS qualification and being part of the AVIXA family will help Adam ensure his clients receive the highest level of support from a qualified technical expert.
“I enjoy working in the AV industry as it allows me to work closely with the most exciting and up to date technologies in an area I am passionate about and having the CTS qualification will help ensure I can progress in this industry, I am really grateful to Matt Baker - my line manager – he was very supportive throughout the process providing me with the encouragement and confidence to see the course and exam through” Adam Rhodes Peripatetic AV technician Focus 21/AVMI
