AVMI, the UK’s largest systems integrator, has appointed Craig Bonner, the former Global Head of Operations, as its new Executive Vice President in the US. The appointment comes as the business enjoys significant growth across America, announcing:
Craig will be responsible for heading up the companies operational capabilities across the US, including developing its partnerships with vendors and distributors, to meet the demands of enterprise clients for global consistency and commercial predictability.
After joining AVMI in 2002, Craig’s engineering background led to rapid progression into the senior management team at AVMI and culminated in Craig running AVMI’s Project and Service divisions. Having uprooted his family from the UK, the South African born expat and former professional basketball player, is looking forward to developing new relationships, both personal and professional, as well as getting ‘stuck in’ to one of the nations most loved sports.
AVMI, which has been present in the US for several years already, has chosen to come out of stealth mode as it ramps up recruitment and looks to establish global procurement structures with US vendors and distributors. The company, which won ‘Global Integrator of Year’ for its international growth, has seen its international business grow approximately 350% over the past 3 years, with over 1/3 of that growth attributed to the US. In the past 12 months the team has delivered 70 projects across several regions including; Florida, Massachusetts, Texas, Colorado, Minnesota, Arizona, and Illinois, with plans to triple that in 2019, with planned projects in Hawaii, California, and Connecticut, to name just a few.
The company’s approach to the delivery of international projects and service management is unique, in that its activity outside the UK, including in the US is exclusively for its global enterprise customers. AVMI’s Global Enterprise Framework, is a set of services designed to enable enterprise clients to implement and support AV solutions across their organisation in a more consistent, scalable and cost-effective way.
NEW OFFICE OPENING & RECRUITMENT DRIVE
Following its rapid international growth, the company has relocated its US team to larger premises located in Tribeca, Manhattan. The office is home to all those that support AVMI’s Global Enterprise Framework services, such as ‘Standards Management’, ‘Project Preparation’, ‘Project Delivery’ and ‘Enterprise Service’.
